RESTORATIVE XL

Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching.

During the long holds of restorative yoga, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It’s a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body. Restorative classes are very mellow, making them a good complement to more active practices (as well as our busy lives) and an excellent antidote to stress. Stillness is a powerful practice.

Clinical research into restorative yoga has found that it can decrease depression; improve symptoms of anxiety, depression, and pain symptoms; and help patients manage the toxicity of cancer treatments.

POSTURE

This 90-minute session will be led by our experienced teacher, who will guide you through the techniques and preparatory postures to build the strength, stability, and practice needed to find balance in a specific posture.
