About me: I started my yoga journey in 2000 and my first words after my initial yoga class was ‘I have to teach this!’. I am passionate about sharing the ancient teachings of yoga, the benefits and the transformative power of it. I am a certified yoga teacher since 2003 (Vivekananda Yoga Therapy University), participated in countless workshops and training programs all over the world throughout the past 15 years, including the Yin/Yang Yoga teacher training from the pioneers of Yin Yang yoga, Paul & Suzee Grilley and Sarah Powers. I’ve taught hatha yoga, kids yoga, yin/yang yoga in Turkey, South Africa, India and Holland. I am also a holistic wellness coach and a mindfulness meditation teacher. I’ve also trained through the Shambhala lineage since 2008.
Class Specialty: There are three parts to this Yin/Yang and Mindfulness Yoga class;
- Taoist Vinyasa movements, the yang yoga, which will help to warm up the body and stimulate the ‘chi’ (life force) in the meridiens (energy channels)
- Yin yoga poses, that are static using tools of time and gravity, which will bring therapeutic effects, especially to deep tissues and joints.
- The mindfulness and meditative aspects, which will be an important part of the practice, that will bring relaxation, clarity, calmness and balance throughout your mind, body and spirit.
